Our Properties

In 2022, as part of our unwavering commitment to ending homelessness in the Quad Cities, Humility Homes and Services made strategic investments in our community. We proudly acquired 56 additional units, expanding our reach to offer a total of 152 safe, stable, and affordable housing options across various services and programs. These properties play a crucial role in providing individuals and families with the opportunity to transition to permanent housing, empowering them to build a brighter future.

Our Mission-Focused housing initiative serves individuals and families in the greater Quad Cities area. Lived experience should not determine housing eligibility. We believe in low-barrier housing for people who have experienced everything from evictions to criminal convictions.

One of the greatest challenges our community is facing is the lack of affordable housing available to our mid- to low-earning households. We believe in keeping rent affordable for all levels of income. Our rents are based strictly on the square footage of a unit and not market factors. No rent exceeds HUD-established Fair Market Rent (FMR) for our specific community, including Scott and Rock Island counties.

Process for Mission-Focused Housing at Humility Homes and Services

Application fees for typical housing can run anywhere from $25-$75 in the Quad Cities. We do not charge application fees or charge traditional security deposits. Both of which, can be barriers for households trying to find safe, sustainable housing.

Due to the overwhelming need for affordable housing in our community, our Mission Focus housing initiative has a waiting list of 9-12 months on average. Applicants are contacted up to 6 weeks before units are ready to be able to transition from where they are staying to their new home.

At Humility Homes & Services, we proudly uphold the principles of the Fair Housing Law, fostering equal opportunity and access for everyone in our housing programs. 🤝 Additionally, we welcome Section 8 participants.
