Emergency Shelter
HHSI’s 88-bed, low-barrier, year-round emergency shelter is the Quad Cities’ largest and only “housing first” emergency shelter located at
1016 W 5th St., Davenport, Iowa .
Our Focus: The emergency shelter assists participants to transition successfully to permanent housing, making homelessness rare, brief and a one-time experience in the greater Quad Cities area. Following an evidence-based housing first model, participants are welcome to receive shelter with no preconditions to entry, allowing participants to focus on stabilizing after a housing crisis and move towards permanent housing as quickly as possible.

Humility Homes and Services, Inc. serves as an access point for Coordinated Entry.
What is Coordinated Entry?
Coordinated Entry is the process of assessing people at risk of imminent homelessness or people experiencing literal homelessness by connecting individuals and families to appropriate resources. Coordinated Entry allows for a streamlined approach to services by prioritizing those with the highest barriers or greatest need for housing, rather than a “first come, first served” approach.
How can someone access Coordinated Entry (CE)?
If you are currently experiencing homelessness or are at risk of losing your housing due to domestic violence or notice of eviction, we strongly recommend contacting Coordinated Entry. Coordinated Entry is your first point of contact for housing services and can guide you to the most appropriate support and housing programs for your specific situation.
