Humility Homes and Services, Inc. will be hosting an informational meeting on volunteering on Friday, June 7th at 10am. Location will be at Humility Homes admin offices and Fresh Start Center, 3805 Mississippi Ave. Davenport. Men, women and teens are encouraged to attend. Topics will include the application process, current short term and ongoing volunteer needs, the upcoming FLASH! Sale and other opportunities. Hours and days are flexible to meet your busy schedule!

National Housing Week of Action Kick-Off Movie
Doors open at 6:00pm for the National Housing Week of Action Kick-Off Movie at St. Ambrose University McCarthy Hall Lecture Hall (corner of Lombard and Gaines) Entrance off parking lot between McCarthy Hall and SAU Wellness and Recreation Center. The movie begins at 6:30pm. The Invisible Class: The Story of Homelessness in America is a documentary film by Josh Hayes detailing the problems faced by people experiencing homelessness and the history behind the rise of modern homelessness. The film features personal stories and analysis from people with lived experience, shelter providers, advocates, and academics. Viewers learn about the devastating impacts of lost housing supports, stagnant wages, and increased criminalization.
